VQA
Okanagan Valley | |
Viticulture/Vinification The grapes for this wine were fermented on the skin for 14 days to give the wine deep colour and rich flavours. After malolactic fermention, the wine was aged for 11 months in 60% French Oak barrels and 40% America Oak barrels.
|
Vintage Conditions The 2005 harvest featured both warm and cooler periods resulting in good fruit intensity. 100% of the grapes used in this wine were Zinfandel. They were harvested October 6, 2005 from the Bear Cub Vineyard.
|
Tasting Notes This wine displays concentrated aromas of raspberry and spice. Rich blackberry, plum, and cherry flavours combine harmoniously with chewy tannins. It is velvety smooth on the palate and offers a long elegant finish.
