| It's not uncommon for visitors who come to this enigmatic, meandering valley for the first time to be somewhat confounded and astonished by its majestic natural beauty. To have a personal experience of the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, Canada is to lose one's self in an unwinding chain of mountain valleys, lakes and grasslands culminating in its deep south with Canada's only desert.
Inniskillin established the estate winery in the Okanagan in 1994 as a partnership with the Inkameep Native Band. The winery is located in the southern part of the valley, south of Oliver, 20 kilometres north of the Washington State border, on the 49º N latitude.
